Dridex Malware attacks Using Microsoft Word


There are lots of way available through which cyber criminals attacks our PCs and make it infected, a latest malware called Didex designed by the cyber attackers that comes inside the PC through MS Word document. This malware are specially designed by the hackers to record the personal information of the user such as passwords/ID of online banking.


This malware is actually same as an old malware known as Cridex which was also designed in previous to record user’s banking information. This malware is such a very dangerous for those users that frequently does online banking, according to the Enigma Software this malware is a newly created dreadful data collector. This malware collects the online banking information of any user by the help of programmed HTML scripts which is attached into the Microsoft Office Word.” In this task MS Word will be used to send out messages, which evidently includes financial documentation.

After opening the damaged MS Word document the attached automated script will run automatically and records the online banking information and send the recorded information to the cyber criminals using remote servers. So it is clear that your bank accounts are not secured if   your PC is infected with such type of malware.    

By default Macro are disabled in most of the computers, but malicious Word file prompts a message to enable macros, and when user enable the macros Dridex will start downloading to the computer. This malware doesn't have any new concept but it is more dangerous so it is necessary to remove Dridex as soon as possible. Spam emails related to Dridex came frequently from countries like Vietnam, India, Taiwan,South Korea and China. So use internet safely an avoid replying to any spam emails, this will protect your computer and online bank account from this type of malware infections.
